The hotel sits on top of a cliff with tight and shabby rooms. The sea view overlooks bins and an outside heating system causes constant noise throughout the night. Some areas need a decor refresh and a livelier paint choice than grey. On the upside, the location offers fantastic views of Scarborough.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were very spacious and had the added bonus of a sea view, which was amazing, but they were actually too warm. I requested for the rooms to be close together, if possible, which was accommodated. However, the bathroom was quite small, the bed was not comfortable, and it made a lot of noise when getting out of it.

The location was stunning, overlooking the North Bay & the Castle. The view from our third-floor window was fantastic, one of the best I've ever seen. The hotel was ideal for both North and South Bay, as well as the town center.
