The hotel sits on top of a cliff with tight and shabby rooms. The sea view overlooks bins and an outside heating system causes constant noise throughout the night. Some areas need a decor refresh and a livelier paint choice than grey. On the upside, the location offers fantastic views of Scarborough.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were very spacious and had the added bonus of a sea view, which was amazing, but they were actually too warm. I requested for the rooms to be close together, if possible, which was accommodated. However, the bathroom was quite small, the bed was not comfortable, and it made a lot of noise when getting out of it.
The hotel offers a great bay view from the 3rd floor rooms, which are clean and comfortable. The reception is conveniently located right by the entrance. However, the rooms show signs of poor maintenance with damp staining and peeling wallpaper.
